Small Business Grants

We help women in Afghanistan and Pakistan set-up small businesses by providing equipment and supplies, including but not limited to sewing machines and solar panels, and supporting livestock farming, including the provision of cows, goats, and/or chickens, and greenhouse farming, promoting self-sufficiency.

Small Business Grant Projects

Livestock Farming Project

November 2023 (Jumada Al-Awwal 1445)

Afghan-Pak Women provided 40 low-income landless female farmworkers affected by floods in #Pakistan with two goats and five chickens each in Sibi and Kachi, #Balochistan in partnership with the Institute for Development Studies and Practices (IDSP). 

Livestock Farming Project

April 2023 (Ramadan 1444)

Afghan-Pak Women provided 19 female widows 25 chickens each in #Laghman, #Afghanistan for the purpose of selling poultry and eggs in order to support themselves financially. 

Small Business Grants

March 2023 (Sh‘aban 1444)

Afghan-Pak Women issued 10 small business grants to women in #Nangarhar, #Afghanistan: nine widows received sewing machines, supplies, and solar panels (to power the sewing machines) and one woman, who employs 25 women in her baby bed sheet factory, received raw materials.

Greenhouse Farming Project

October 2022 (Rabi' Al-Awwal 1444)

Afghan-Pak Women setup four greenhouses for eight widows - two women per greenhouse - in #Kabul, #Afghanistan promoting self-sufficiency via agribusiness. 

Livestock Farming Project

June 2022 (Dhul Q'adah 1443)

Afghan-Pak Women implemented a livestock farming project for 18 widows in #Baghlan province of #Afghanistan.
